Latest faucets are unique, stylish

Don’t let every detail become a daunting task when remodeling a kitchen or replacing a faucet.

Have fun by finding a faucet that is modern, trendy and uniquely suited to your personal tastes. And nowadays, there are many options when it comes to style and price.

“You can get a $98 kitchen sink faucet all the way up to a $4,000 kitchen sink faucet, but the mid-range of what we sell is anywhere from $350 to $550,” said Marc Hammar, showroom manager of Ferguson Bath & Kitchen, a nationwide retail/wholesale plumbing supply company that has a showroom in Tampa.

“The coolest technology is sensor and touch for a couple of different reasons,” said Hammar. “Basically, it’s a hygienic principle ... you can either touch a faucet and it will automatically come on or you’ll wave your hand in front of it and it acts much like a commercial bathroom faucet.”

While the range of materials and price points for faucets may vary, another option for homeowners seeking something trendier and unique are either black or white faucets.

“White faucets disappeared probably for the last six or seven years, but that’s starting to trend back just because it’s becoming a lot more contemporary,” Hammar said.
